Diary 1 - Monday 26 August: Read about the journey from Dunedin to Rotorua to begin the Natural Hazards field trip.
Diary 2 - Tuesday 27 August: Look at Mātauranga Māori and science together to gain a better understanding of the Taupō supervolcano. Find out why this volcano will not cause a super-eruption anytime soon and find out more about the Tarawera eruption of 1886.
Diary 3 - Wednesday 28 August: Start the day at the Waiotapu mudpools before travelling to the sourthern end of the Taupō supervolcano. Visit the Turangi Volcanic Activity Centre and find out how Ngātoroirangi brought fire to the area.
Diary 4 - Thursday 29 August: Travel to Wellington to see how hazards are monitored at the GeoNet National Hazard Monitoring Centre. Explore the new Te Taiao exhibit at Te Papa to find out more about our volcanoes.
