Rob — Marine ecologist

Rob did a lot of fishing and diving when he was young. Now he is a marine scientist based at the Cawthron Institute in Nelson where he works on sustainable fishing technologies and aquaculture.

Brett — Kaumātua

Brett is a kaumātua from Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura. He has also been a conservation worker for the Department of Conservation and is is currently a cultural advisor for the Kaikōura District Council. Brett welcomes you to the area.

Tom — Seaweed scientist

Tom is a scientist working at Cawthron Institute in Nelson. Tom works with seaweed and other algae. He has always been interested in how things grow. Tom's work combines his love of the outdoors with biology. He loves collecting samples from the sea and analysing them in his lab.
