Welcome to Christchurch International Airport! Your journey through international arrivals starts at a west coast themed air bridge.

  2. You are walking through the air bridge, but what is the area known as before you officially enter Christchurch?
  3. What card do you have to make sure you have filled out?

You have come into the border security area. Your first experience here is with SmartGate.

Before you are allowed to enter Christchurch, you will need to head through the various border agencies (not quarantine as Andrew wrongly calls it!) to make sure you are not bringing in any prohibited items.

You now have a special security pass to allow you to go “airside” and see how parts of the airport are operated.
