Job description:
Operate a maintenance programme on the ship and manage the ship's supplies in stock.
Work background:
Completed a Cadetship onboard.
Favourite part of job:
Learning about and using different tools and techniques on the job. Also meeting new people.
Least favourite part of job:
Checking the rat traps.
What I am working on now:
A canvas tool bag.
A quick story about a job well done:
The yards needed a fresh coat of varnish. Brought them down and varnished them. Job well done.
A (humorous) story about a job that went badly and what you learned:
I once covered the surrounding area for a paint job. The paint with a mind of its own found itself onto the lovely teak deck. All the mess was cleaned up and I learned to protect the deck as if it was my own.
