Wildlife & Airfield Safety.
Work background:
I have spent 20 years in the Territorial Force; 28 years as an Airport Firefighter; four years as Airport Wildlife Control Officer.
Favourite part of job:
Being outdoors.
Least favourite part of job:
Office work.
What I am working on now:
Training an Airfield Safety Officer to shoot out of helicopters.
A quick story about a job well done:
I recently found a large piece of metal on an active runway.
Qualifications:
NZQA Airport Wildlife Control Modules, Avisure basic and advanced Wildlife Control Training.
Interests outside work:
Hunting, fishing and reading.
