Diary 3Diary 3 - Wednesday 28 August: Start the day at the Waiotapu mudpools before travelling to the sourthern end of the Taupō supervolcano. Visit the Turangi Volcanic Activity Centre and find out how Ngātoroirangi brought fire to the area.

 

 

Diary 4Diary 4 - Thursday 29 August: Travel to Wellington to see how hazards are monitored at the GeoNet National Hazard Monitoring Centre. Explore the new Te Taiao exhibit at Te Papa to find out more about our volcanoes.
